After graduating from Western Oregon University with a major in Art and a minor in Speech Communications, I quickly found working with people to achieve their dreams was my path. For the next 5 years after graduation, I honed in my understanding of the beauty industry and the amazing opportunities it had to offer. In 2008, I found an amazing job opportunity to work with an environmentally and community conscious school in Oregon, Aveda Institute Portland. Jennifer Chamberlain, Admissions
Made in Oregon and part of the “boomer” explosion, Jennifer Chamberlain actually got her start in this industry as a licensed cosmetologist in the late 60’s. “A family member I admired had a salon in Sheridan, Oregon, and I wanted to be just like her. It was a great decision for me, so I feel like I can identify with people interested in the beauty industry.” To meet the demands of raising a family of six children and to expand her work opportunities she attended college part-time focusing on business and communications.
