Career Support Services
Aveda Institute Portland offers career support services to help students prepare for employment in the beauty and wellness industry. Support is focused on building professional readiness while students are actively enrolled in their program.
Career support includes access to recruiting events, employer connections, and networking opportunities with salons and spas hiring cosmetology, hair design, and esthiology professionals.
Work-IT-Wednesday, Industry-Talk-Tuesday and our Salon Pop-ups are additional past events held on campus that let you hear directly from local salons and spas about how they’re looking to hire you when you graduate!
How Often Are Career Fairs and Recruiting Events Held at Aveda Institute Portland?
Career fairs are held in Spring and Fall of each year. These events allow students to meet salon and spa employers, explore job opportunities, and learn about part-time and full-time roles in the beauty industry. Career fair announcements are posted on campus TV screens and on Learn Aveda so students can stay informed about upcoming events.

Students have opportunities to meet salon owners, hiring managers, and beauty industry professionals through career fairs, salon popup recruiting events, and employer partnerships. In addition to technical training, students can build professional connections, gain exposure to potential employers, and explore career opportunities before graduation. Career support resources are designed to help students transition from education to professional careers in cosmetology, hair design, esthiology, and related beauty industry fields.

Connect with Aveda Institute Portland students specializing in cosmetology, esthiology, waxing, facials, and salon services. Our next Career Fair is August 31, 2026, from 12 PM–2 PM. Salon and spa employers are invited to register online to reserve a spot. Sign up by submitting your request online!
