Our salon and spa are a learning environment for future stylists and estheticians to practice and grow in their craft under the supervision of a licensed instructor. We thank you for letting us serve you and participating in our learning cycle.

Child Policy

To ensure we give our clients the attention they deserve, we ask that our clients not bring children under the age of 14 unless the child is scheduled for an appointment. Children under the age of 14 receiving services or accompanying someone must have a parent or guardian present who is not receiving a service. For safety reasons, children are not allowed on the styling floor or spa areas unless they are receiving services.

Cashless Checkout

Starting October 1st, 2022 we will no longer take cash at our Portland and Vancouver campuses. All product and service purchases must be made with a gift card, credit or debit card, or electronic payment.

Right to Refuse Service

A positive environment at Aveda Institute Portland is our top priority. While we would like to accommodate all clients, we will not tolerate rude, or disrespectful behavior from our clients to any staff member or fellow clients. Clients behaving negatively or rudely will be asked to leave and not return.

Return Policy

Aveda Institute Portland will exchange any products unopened or lightly used within 2 weeks of the original purchase date for equal or greater value. Should you choose not to exchange for another product we will issue a gift certificate. Gift certificates do not expire and may be used for a future service or product purchase. We do not offer refunds of any products. ALL SALE ITEMS ARE FINAL SALES.

Guests in the Facility

Guest services are available Monday through Friday during hours of operation. Guests receiving a service are allowed on the salon and spa floor for the purpose of receiving a service when accompanied by a staff member or student. Any friend or family member of a guest, who is not receiving a service, will be allowed in the lobby waiting area, but nowhere else. If a guest is under the age of 14 or needs assistance/guidance from another adult, that adult will be allowed to sit on the bench next to where the guest is receiving their service. They are not allowed to roam the building at any time. Any child under the age of 14 who is in the building for such reasons, as receiving a service or accompanying a person whom is receiving a service must have a parent/guardian present whom is not receiving a service.

Any person or persons whom are not receiving a service, accompany someone receiving a service, and/or have not been invited to the institute for reason of guest speaking or advanced education will be asked to leave the building immediately by the manager on duty.

Security Cameras are present throughout the Aveda Institute Portland facility for the safety and security of our staff and students.
