Many of us have floated in and out of student services, seeking advice, solace and even a few minutes of escape. Kristin who works behind that little glass window is no stranger to the many emotions that can come and go and she is here to help with the little stressors that can sometimes feel overwhelming! That made her the PERFECT person to ask about one of Aveda's classic products, Hand Relief, because much like hand relief, Kristin is no stranger to reliving tension caused by everyday tasks and worries!
How long have you been in the industry? 2 years in October!
What do you love about Aveda? Wow, there is a lot of answers to that but the products, the mission. We care about the environment and we give back, with no expectations.
What is hand relief? It is a hand creme, it is not thin like a lotion but it isn't thick like a butter either- its somewhere in between,It is nice and smooth. My favorite scent is the Rosemary Mint, I will warm it up in my hands and inhale that scent, cause it is amazing!
How do you use it? Well, I apply it to the backs of my hands. I hate the feeling of too much moisture on my palms, so I apply to the back of my hands only! But of course you can just rub it in to your hands as you would a normal lotion. It is also really good for other rough spots, elbows, knees, anywhere you need extra moisture. At the school we of course use it for the Aveda Hand Ritual- but if I'm being honest- I have never officially had one!
So somebody needs to stop by and give you a hand massage, is that what you are saying? Haha, Yes! Usually when I am getting a service, I'm doing the employee fast-version! But I know it is an amazing element to the services we provide here. Just the other day we had a little girl in here who was scared to get one at first but after she experienced it - she felt like a princess, I took a picture of her- she looks so relaxed! So, it makes you feel like that!
Who is this product good for? Anyone- man , woman and child!
